The Dikir Maulud resounded at mosques, surau and religious halls nationwide, 24th August night. The Dikir Maulud ceremony is to be held for 12 consecutive nights in conjunction with the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam on the 12th of Rabiulawal. The focal point of the Dikir Maulud opening ceremony was at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.

The reading of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
